Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Workday EDM Forward Deployed Engineer (HCM Consultant) to embed within client environments, driving hands-on adoption and deep EDM configuration. You will act as the technical bridge between Kainos and the client, enabling adoption from go-live onward, and aligning with Customer Success, Support, Onboarding, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• HCM Workday certification with hands-on experience leading deployments and configuring live Workday environments.
• Experience working directly inside enterprise customer environments with IT and HR teams.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience resolving integration and configuration challenges independently with pragmatic, well-documented solutions.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage concurrent work across multiple accounts with structured prioritisation.
• Awareness of how technical adoption drives customer retention and platform value.
• Collaborative mindset with commitment to knowledge sharing and team capability development.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimise EDM & Workday configuration within live customer environments with client IT, HR, and operations teams.
• Proactively identify and remediate configuration debt, performance constraints, and architectural limitations before escalation.
• Resolve complex technical blockers and support escalation with rich environment context.
• Ensure technical continuity from implementation into the Forward Deployed Engineer engagement, coordinating with the Onboarding team at go live.
• Enable client administrators through knowledge transfer, creating configuration guides, integration docs, and templates.
• Identify adoption risk signals and provide the Customer Success Manager with regular technical health summaries.
• Guide clients through three-stage maturity model, removing friction that blocks progression between levels.
• Define and track account-specific maturity milestones with the Customer Success Manager using adoption metrics.
• Feed product insight back to Product, surfacing recurring constraints and missing capabilities.
• Document account-level technical history and share reusable assets with fellow FDEs.
