Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners in Melbourne CBD is seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant to support a major HCM implementation within a professional services environment. You will work closely with HR and Finance leads, IT and external partners to translate requirements into Workday solutions.

This fixed-term role runs through to July 2027 with an ASAP start. You will contribute to data migration, testing, configuration across multiple Workday domains and help shape future-state

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Workday implementation experience.
• Experience across multiple Workday functional areas, incl. Core HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Professional services background is preferred.

Are you an experienced Workday Functional Consultant looking to play a key role in a major HCM implementation within an established professional services organisation?

We are seeking experienced Workday Functional Consultants to support the end-to-end delivery of a significant Workday implementation, working closely with internal HR and Finance functional leads, IT teams and external implementation partners.

This is a fixed-term opportunity through to July 2027, with an ASAP start, located in Melbourne CBD.

About the Role:

You will:

• Support the end-to-end delivery of a Workday implementation;
• Partner closely with HR/P&C functional leads, IT and implementation partners;
• Translate business requirements into Workday solutions and workflows;
• Support configuration across Core HCM, Payroll, Advanced Compensation, Absence and Time Tracking;
• Review current-state processes and contribute to future-state process design;
• Support configuration across organisational structures, job profiles, staffing models and security;
• Coordinate and support unit, regression and end-to-end testing;
• Provide Workday functional expertise and best-practice recommendations;
• Support data migration, including mapping, validation, reconciliation and issue resolution; and
• Contribute to change management and communications activities.

About You:

You'll bring:

• Strong hands-on Workday implementation experience;
• Experience across multiple Workday functional areas, ideally including:
• Core HCM / Compensation;
• Payroll;
• Advanced Compensation;
• Absence; and
• Time Tracking.
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes and configuration;
• Experience translating business requirements into practical Workday solutions;
• Experience supporting implementation, enhancement or optimisation programs;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills;
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication; and
• Experience within professional services highly regarded.

Working alongside experienced HR, Finance and technology stakeholders, you will play a key role in translating business requirements into effective Workday solutions and supporting the organisation through configuration, testing, data migration and implementation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Workday Consultant who enjoys working across multiple functional areas and wants to play a hands-on role in a major implementation rather than simply providing BAU support.
