The ASC Work Health, Safety & Environment Traineeship is a two-year fixed-term program that combines practical on-the-job training with formal study towards a Certificate 4 in Work Health, Safety & Environment
Working alongside experienced WHSE professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience across workplace health, safety and environmental activities. You'll support a range of initiatives including safety compliance, hazard identification and risk management, incident reporting, and continuous improvement activities, while building practical skills and knowledge in a complex operational environment.
By the end of the program, you'll have developed the skills, knowledge and nationally recognised qualification needed to start a career in WHSE.
Established in 1985, ASC’s 3000-plus staff offer a depth of submarine design, project management, supply chain, construction and engineering experience and expertise that is unparalleled in Australia’s defence industry. The company’s work on Australia’s nuclear-powered submarine build and the Collins Class Life of Type Extension takes place in Osborne, South Australia, with sustainment shared across Osborne and Henderson, Western Australia. ASC also plays a leading role in training Royal Australian Navy submariners.
