Job summary

Defence Australia in Canberra, ACT is seeking a Wintel Infrastructure Engineer – Cyber Security for a federal contract. Active NV2 or higher clearance is required, with DISP membership preferred. Location is ACT/VIC onsite, with up to 40 hours per week.

The role targets security engineering across physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure and requires involvement in design and remediation activities.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of technical cyber security experience.
• Demonstrated experience securing enterprise systems.
• Experience implementing one or more of the Essential Eight mitigation strategies.
• Experience scripting or automation to administer or assess cyber risks.

Responsibilities

• Implement security controls to uplift security posture across the Australian Government.
• Develop SOPs or security and administrative tasks.
• Facilitate and participate in workshops for design and remediation activities.
• Prototype security configurations for the development of advice.
