Job summary

Vinarchy, based at Rowland Flat in the Barossa Valley, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our busy lab team. Your days will mix hands‑on analysis of wine, juice, spirits and RTDs, running routine tests, and keeping the lab humming during peak periods.

You’ll collect samples across winery sites, upload results to lab software, monitor consumables, and assist with maintenance. The role involves rotating shifts and overtime during vintage, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or Microbiology or related field.
• Experience in winery or laboratory (chemical and/or microbiological).
• Experience with laboratory data management platforms (LIMS).
• Willingness to undertake additional training and adapt to activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diverse laboratory analyses from wet techniques to microbiological plating and reading high‑end equipment.
• Collect samples from across the winery and upload results into laboratory software platforms.
• Flag anomalies quickly to the Lab Team Leader and monitor consumables to keep the lab stocked.
• Support colleagues across the lab and wider business, and rotate shifts during peak periods.
