Job summary

Accenture in Ballarat is seeking an experienced Windows Subject Matter Expert to join the Infrastructure Managed Services team. The role focuses on advanced Windows Server, AD, SCCM/MECM, DNS, and VMware vSphere to resolve complex Level 3 issues and drive IT infrastructure projects.

You will develop PowerShell automation, contribute to server builds and provide governance to technical standards, while supporting a hybrid work arrangement in Ballarat.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Windows Server administration within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012 R2 through 2022.
• Solid SCCM/MECM experience with task sequences, software packages and baseline compliance.
• In-depth Active Directory administration covering schema, replication and Group Policy troubleshooting.
• Strong DNS administration and troubleshooting capability.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere experience including vCenter management and VM lifecycle.
• Proficient PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience in ITIL-based service management environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Ballarat.

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Produce technical documentation, support procedures and knowledge-base articles.
• Work with the Wintel Lead to establish and maintain technical standards and best practices.
• Participate in change advisory processes and an on-call rotation.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Windows Subject Matter Expert to join our Infrastructure Managed Services team.

You will provide advanced technical support across Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, DNS and virtualisation technologies. As a trusted technical specialist, you will resolve complex Level 3 issues, contribute to infrastructure projects and support the wider operations team with technical guidance and best practices.
