Job summary

Accenture Ballarat is seeking an experienced Windows Subject Matter Expert to join our Infrastructure Managed Services team. You will administer Windows Server environments, manage Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and SCCM/MECM for software deployments, while providing Level 3 escalation support for complex incidents in a large enterprise setting.

You will also support VMware vSphere, develop PowerShell automation, and contribute to server migrations, upgrades, and broader projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Windows Server administration within enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012 R2 through 2022.
• SCCM/MECM experience with task sequences, software packages and baselines.
• Active Directory administration including schema, replication and GPO troubleshooting.
• DNS administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
• VMware vSphere experience including vCenter management and VM lifecycle.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience in ITIL-based service management environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Ballarat.

• Administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) for software deployment, OS deployment and compliance reporting.
• Provide Level 3 escalation support for complex Windows incidents and service requests.
• Support VMware vSphere administration, including VM provisioning, patching and performance management.
• Contribute to server builds, migrations, upgrades and broader infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine operational tasks.
• Produce technical documentation, support procedures and knowledge-base articles.
• Work closely with the Wintel Lead to establish and maintain technical standards and best practices.
• Participate in change advisory processes and an on-call rotation.

What you’ll bring

• Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Ballarat.

Bonus points if you have

• Experience with Nutanix environments.
• Microsoft Azure, Entra ID or hybrid identity experience.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or VCP.
