Job summary

Accenture in Ballarat is seeking two experienced Windows Administrators to join our Infrastructure Managed Services team. You will support Windows Server environments, focusing on Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM/MECM, and incident resolution in a large-scale enterprise setting.

We value hands-on, collaborative problem-solvers who can work in a hybrid Ballarat-based arrangement and contribute to secure, reliable infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Approximately five to seven years of Windows Server administration experience.
• Proficiency across Windows Server 2012 R2 through 2019.
• Hands-on experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Working knowledge of SCCM/MECM for patch management and software deployment.
• DNS administration experience including A records, PTR records and zone transfers.
• Basic PowerShell scripting for operational and automation tasks.
• Experience working within an ITIL service management environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day Windows Server administration, including provisioning, patching and monitoring.
• Manage Active Directory user accounts, computer objects, groups and organisational units.
• Create, update and troubleshoot Group Policy settings.
• Administer SCCM/MECM for patching, software deployment and inventory.
• Resolve Level 2 Windows incidents and service requests within service levels.
• Assist with server builds, upgrades and decommissioning activities.
• Support DNS zone management and troubleshooting.
• Document operational processes and maintain knowledge-base articles.
• Participate in change management processes and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Escalate complex technical issues to Windows SME or Wintel Lead.

The opportunity

We are looking for two experienced Windows Administrators to join our Infrastructure Managed Services team.

You will support the day-to-day operation of Windows Server environments, with a focus on Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM and incident resolution. Working within an established technical team, you will help maintain secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure services.

This role would suit a hands-on Windows Administrator who enjoys troubleshooting, working collaboratively and developing their skills within a complex enterprise environment.

What you’ll do

• Perform day-to-day Windows Server administration, including provisioning, patching and monitoring.
• Manage Active Directory user accounts, computer objects, groups and organisational units.

• Administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) for patch compliance, software deployment and hardware and software inventory.
• Resolve Level 2 Windows incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Assist with server builds, upgrades and decommissioning activities.
• Support DNS zone management and troubleshooting.
• Document operational processes and maintain knowledge-base articles.
• Participate in change management processes and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Windows Subject Matter Expert or Wintel Lead when required.

What you’ll bring

• Approximately five to seven years of Windows Server administration experience.
• Proficiency across Windows Server 2012 R2 through to Windows Server 2019.
• Hands-on experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Working knowledge of SCCM/MECM for patch management and software deployment.
• DNS administration experience, including A records, PTR records and zone transfers.
• Basic PowerShell scripting skills for operational and automation tasks.
• Experience working within an ITIL service management environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Ballarat.

Bonus points if you have

• VMware vSphere experience or foundational knowledge.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience supporting a large-scale enterprise environment.
