Job summary

Vestas is seeking motivated and safety-focused Service Technicians to join the Lotus Creek wind farm team in Queensland. This role is suitable for electricians or mechanical technicians with a recognised Australian trade certificate and a commitment to safe, reliable wind turbine maintenance.

You will work on-site in a small on-site team, report to the site supervisor, perform scheduled service and reactive maintenance, operate HV/LV equipment within training, and support the SMA requirements

Qualifications

• Australian Electrical License or Mechanical trade certificate.
• GWO training, working at heights, safety, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems.
• Motivation to learn and thrive in a growing wind industry.
• Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in various environments.
• Proficient with various hand tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work at heights in confined environments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required
• Respond to site outside normal working hours on a rostered basis
• Maintain company vehicles and plant equipment
• Operate HV and LV within training limits
• Ensure safety, environmental and procedural compliance
• Attend site induction
• Comply with the SMA requirements
• Follow OH&S and environmental rules
• Wear PPE and participate in safety meetings
• Perform other duties as directed
