Job summary

DFP Recruitment in South Australia is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Associate to join our established Wills & Estates team, working on a diverse range of matters for a broad client base.

You will interview clients, draft documents, manage estate administration, conduct legal research and contribute to a collaborative, professional workplace with mentoring and development opportunities. This role offers a supportive environment and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Post-admission Wills & Estates experience (minimum 2 years).
• Experience with simple and complex wills, powers of attorney, advance care directives and estate matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Client-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
• Sound legal research and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and take detailed instructions.
• Draft, review and amend a range of legal documents.
• Manage wills, powers of attorney, advance care directives and estate administration matters.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical advice to clients.
• Maintain carriage of files and ensure matters progress efficiently.
• Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, courts and external stakeholders.
• Delegate work to support staff where appropriate.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and positive client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate file management and time recording practices.
