Job summary

Deakin University Burwood/Waurn Ponds campus is seeking a part-time Coordinator, Work Integrated Learning to lead WIL programs and employability initiatives. This role offers hybrid work arrangements and focuses on delivering high-quality student experiences through internships, placements and events.

You will build collaborations with industry, community and academic partners, coordinate placement activities, advise on WIL matters, and drive continuous improvement while balancing competing

Qualifications

• A degree with substantial subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and expertise.
• Experience within a university environment or working with organisations that host and support student placements, internships or work-based learning opportunities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across diverse internal and external networks.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and a solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges.
• Experience identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing enhancements to processes, systems or service delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide advice, influence stakeholders and navigate complex situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement programs, and employability initiatives that enhance student outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, community and academics to sustain and expand student opportunities.
• Provide advice and practical solutions on WIL matters, ensuring activities are delivered effectively and in line with university policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes, systems and the student and staff experience.
• Manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and coordinate activities to ensure high-quality service delivery and successful program outcomes.
