ASC Pty Ltd, Australia’s submarine company, is seeking a WHSE Advisor in Adelaide to support safety frameworks and continuous improvement across a complex, high-risk environment.

You will advise leaders and teams, develop risk assessments and safe operating procedures, and coach stakeholders in WHSE systems and compliance. A current police check and security clearance may be required due to national security considerations.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety Management or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in a WHSE Advisor or similar role within a large, high-risk organisation.
• Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation, relevant standards and their practical application.
• Working knowledge of high-risk activities, environmental requirements and associated controls.
• Exposure to incident investigation methodologies such as ICAM.

• Support WHSE consultation and communication activities to strengthen workforce engagement and safety outcomes.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across WHSE processes, systems and workplace practices.

About the Opportunity

The WHSE Advisor will play a key role in supporting the delivery of WHSE frameworks, systems and initiatives across a complex, high-risk environment. Acting as an advisor, coach and facilitator, you will work closely with leaders and employees to strengthen safety practices, reduce risk and support a positive culture of continuous improvement.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety Management, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in a WHSE Advisor or similar role within a large, high-risk organisation.
• Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation, relevant standards and their practical application.
• Working knowledge of high-risk activities, environmental requirements and associated controls.
• Exposure to incident investigation methodologies such as ICAM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and influence effective outcomes.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative and coaching-focused approach.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role may require an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
