Job summary

Fulton Hogan Australia Pty Limited in Adelaide seeks an experienced and energetic Work Health and Safety Manager to lead a dedicated WHS team across a diverse construction program in the SA Utilities sector, based in Dulwich.

You will drive the WHS strategy, ensure compliance, mentor staff, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver safe, efficient projects while growing your expertise within our nationwide sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Relevant Qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Lead Auditing Qualification and expertise in accredited safety systems.
• Incident investigation competency (ICAM lead investigator preferred).
• Experience in industrial construction, preferably Water/Wastewater.
• Knowledge of critical risk management relevant to the water sector.
• Proficient in report writing, presentations and client-facing interactions.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels.
• Adopting and driving Fulton Hogan's Living Safely 2.0 Culture.

Responsibilities

• Reinforcing and driving the business WHS strategy from the ground up and tailoring the WHS strategy to align with client requirements
• Providing WHS leadership, ensuring compliance with legislative, client and internal management system requirements
• Day to day management of a high functioning WHS team
• Engaging with senior cross-functional leaders to drive integrated business outcomes
• Streamlining systems and processes to meet program risk profile and client requirements
• Liaising and reporting directly with client WHS personnel to ensure requirements and expectations are exceeded
• Lead critical investigations and oversee all incident management requirements.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic WHS Manager to complement our existing team and support our expanding long-term program of works in the SA Utilities sector. Based in Dulwich, you will lead a dedicated and high-performing WHS team supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of multidisciplined construction projects, including earthworks, treatment plants, large-scale pipelines, pump stations and concrete structures.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

• Reinforcing and driving the business WHS strategy from the ground up and tailoring the WHS strategy to align with client requirements
• Providing WHS leadership, ensuring compliance with legislative, client and internal management system requirements
• Day to day management of a high functioning WHS team

How you'll connect to the role:

• Relevant Qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Hold a relevant Lead Auditing Qualification and be an expert in accredited safety systems.
• Incident investigation competency (preferably ICAM lead investigator).
• Relevant experience in the industrial construction industry, preferably Water/Wastewater.
• Knowledge of critical risk management relevant to the water sector.
• Proficient in report writing, presentations and client facing interactions.
