Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for our Water/Wastewater program in Australia. You will lead health and safety initiatives, provide specialist guidance, and undertake risk assessments in collaboration with internal and subcontractor teams.

The role requires a relevant OH&S qualification and 5+ years in construction, with desirable ICAM Investigator and Internal Auditor credentials. Strong independence, coaching ability, and WHS compliance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • Exposure to mechanical and electrical infrastructure desirable, but not a must.
  • ICAM lead Investigator and Quality / Safety Internal Auditor (desirable).
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Demonstrable experience working autonomously achieving deliverables in tight time frames.
  • Proven ability to engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • WHS and Injury Management experience & thorough understanding of WHS legislation.
  • Adopting and driving Fulton Hogan’s Living Safely 2.0 Culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation of Fulton Hogan health and safety systems and strategies.
  • Provide health and safety specialist advice, technical and management support.
  • Undertake risk assessments of complex tasks collaboratively with internal and subcontractor delivery teams.
  • Implement and Maintain strategies to prevent and minimise workplace injuries.
  • Implementation and custodian of the businesses safety management systems on site.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigation and facilitate the sharing of lessons learned relevant to improving safety performance.
  • Provide governance through scheduled audits and inspections of management plans, procedures, and activity risk to ensure practices align with business, client and legislative requirements.
