Job summary

Alpha Catering Equipment is seeking an experienced WHS Coordinator to lead workplace health and safety across our two fabrication factories. This is a hands-on role responsible for embedding a strong safety culture across our manufacturing operations, machinery, and project teams - ensuring every site, system, and project meets the highest safety standards.

• Investigate incidents and prepare reports with recommendations
• Deliver WHS inductions, training and toolbox talks
• Liaise with management to embed safety into daily operations
• Maintain WHS records and compliance documentation
• Keep up to date with changes in WHS legislation

Alpha Catering Equipment is seeking an experienced and proactive WHS Coordinator to lead workplace health and safety across our two fabrication factories. This is a hands-on role responsible for embedding a strong safety culture across our manufacturing operations, machinery, and project teams - ensuring every site, system, and project meets the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) across both fabrication factories
• Conduct regular audits of machinery, equipment, and internal systems to ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation and standards
• Develop, review, and maintain internal safety procedures, policies, and documentation
• Oversee WHS compliance across all projects and project teams, from planning through to completion
• Identify hazards and risks on the factory floor and project sites; implement corrective actions
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and prepare reports with recommendations
• Deliver WHS inductions, training, and toolbox talks to staff, contractors, and project teams
• Liaise with management, supervisors, and project teams to embed safety requirements into daily operations
• Maintain WHS records, registers, and compliance documentation
• Keep up to date with changes in WHS legislation and ensure ongoing business compliance

About you

• Proven experience in a WHS Coordinator or similar safety role, ideally within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and best practice
• Experience auditing machinery, equipment, and workplace systems
• Strong understanding of project-based safety management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant WHS qualification (Certificate IV in WHS or higher preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
