Job summary

The Australian National University invites applications for a continuing, full-time role within the Work Health and Safety team. The position focuses on injury prevention, management and wellbeing across the university community.

Reporting to the Manager Injury, Prevention and Wellbeing, you will deliver high-quality WHS services, manage injury data, triage incidents, and support payroll and claims processes while ensuring timely, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience in health and safety administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inbox monitoring and triage of injury reports.
• Injury management including workers compensation matters.
• Injury data reporting and records management.

Position overview

This is a continuing role opportunity for a suitably health or safety professional who is looking to build their career in thearea of injury prevention, management and wellbeing.

The Work Health and Safety Consultant Injury provides high-quality support to stakeholders, contributing to theefficient and effective delivery of services through timely advice and assistance on a range of support activities such as inbox monitoring,

injury incident triage, injury management services including workers compensation claims, injury prevention and wellbeing support activities, records management, invoice payment, use ofWHS software systems, administration and facilitation of injury data reporting.

This position reports to Ingrid Krauss, Manager Injury, Prevention and Wellbeing, but will work closely with areas and colleagues across theUniversity community and other external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have a high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a broad

range of stakeholders, including senior managers, staff and external providers, in a culturally diverse environment. In addition, you will

require proven organisational skills, the ability to prioritise own workload and to work effectively both independently and as part of a team,meeting demanding deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes.
