Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Business Partner to lead safe practices across residential care, housing and community services. In the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, you’ll partner with leaders to implement practical WHS programs, improve safety and support a wellbeing culture.

You’ll hold a Certificate IV in WHS, have experience with risk assessments, investigations and audits, and ability to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
• Experience developing and implementing WHS programs and initiatives.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and audit activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Anglicare sites which may include occasional overnight stay in regional areas.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to identify WHS risks and develop practical risk management and wellbeing plans.
• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of WHS frameworks, programs and management systems.
• Build workforce capability through training, coaching, mentoring and learning initiatives.
• Facilitate complex risk assessments, investigations and incident management activities.
• Conduct audits, reviews and assurance activities to strengthen compliance and performance.
