Job summary

Land Transport is seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety Advisor to join our Brisbane team. You will lead WHS initiatives, develop training, and support injury management and return-to-work programs across our national operations.

The role focuses on building a proactive safety culture, reviewing policies, and delivering practical, compliant safety solutions. Extensive travel across depots will be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is required.
• Minimum 3 years' WHS experience, preferably within transport, logistics or heavy vehicle operations.
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Return to Work Coordinator certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience coordinating workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Experience developing and delivering workplace training and education programs.
• Ability to translate legislation and compliance requirements into practical workplace solutions.

Responsibilities

• Proactively promote and develop a positive safety culture across all company operations.
• Develop, coordinate and deliver WHS training, education and awareness programs.
• Coordinate and oversee workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits and incident investigations across depots and operations.
• Travel interstate to support national operations and maintain consistent WHS standards.
