Job summary

Fusion Fire is seeking an experienced Wet Fire Systems Designer to join our in-house design team in New South Wales. You will own designs across commercial, industrial and multi-residential projects, working with project managers and site teams to deliver practical, compliant fire protection solutions.

The role involves designing sprinkler, hydrant and hose reel systems, producing detailed drawings and hydraulic calculations, and ensuring compliance with AS 2118, AS 2419 and NCC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in wet fire systems design.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards AS 2118 and AS 2419 and NCC requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Excellent attention to detail with a practical design approach.
• Clear communication and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• FPAS accreditation or relevant qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel and related water supply systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics and hydraulic calculations using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Develop coordinated shop drawings to support on-site installation.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards, NCC requirements and project specs.
• Coordinate with builders, consultants and other trades to resolve design clashes.
• Support project teams with design queries and updates during construction.
