Spinifex Recruiting is seeking a Core Shed Field Assistant for a day-shift, residential role in West Wyalong, NSW. You will support exploration activities, core processing, and yard duties in a hands-on environment.

The role requires a current manual driving licence and forklift ticket (or willingness to obtain). A strong safety mindset and ability to work independently or within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Manual Driver's Licence is essential.
• Current Forklift Ticket, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Reliable and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and schedule tasks.
• Self-motivated, hands-on approach.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
• Able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Previous mining, exploration, drilling, civil or yard experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Field and soil sampling.
• Core yard and core shed duties.
• Processing diamond core.
• Meter marking and orientation lines.
• Core photography and sampling.
• Core preparation and dispatch.
• General housekeeping of the core shed and yard.
• Vehicle cleaning and refuelling.
• Participating in safety meetings and site safety inspections.
• Assisting with general exploration activities as required.
