Job summary

Glen Eira Leisure is seeking a Wellness Assistant Team Leader to support the Wellness Team Leader across multiple sites and deliver high-quality wellness programs. You will help with staffing, timetabling, and instructor support to ensure members receive outstanding wellness experiences.

Working closely with instructors and stakeholders, you will provide leadership, guidance and operational support while contributing to service excellence, continuous improvement and positive health outcomes for

Qualifications

• Experience delivering wellness or health-focused programs.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff in leisure or service roles.
• Knowledge of wellness offerings including Yoga, Pilates and Mind-Body programs.
• Experience coordinating class timetables and instructor coverage.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to monitor program performance and implement improvements.
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in administration and record-keeping.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety and child safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Wellness Instructors and provide operational support.
• Assist with staffing, timetabling and instructor coverage across sites.
• Support instructor onboarding and ongoing professional development.
• Deliver wellness classes and provide direct program support as required.
• Monitor attendance, trends and feedback to identify service improvements.
• Support development of new programs, promotions and community initiatives.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional customer service environment; assist with complaints.
• Assist with record keeping and staff communications.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance across wellness studios and programs.
