Job summary

BlueCare Kirra Haven Aged Care Facility in Coolangatta, Queensland is seeking a dedicated Wellness Partner to support residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing through engaging, person-centred programs. This permanent full-time role is onsite at Kirra Haven with a starting rate of $39.21 per hour plus super.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Experience facilitating group and individual activities in aged care, community or disability settings.
• Understanding of person-centred practice, dementia care and cultural safety.
• Ability to adapt activities to support a range of physical and cognitive abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of infection control, manual handling and aged care quality standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence to satisfy the probity checks required by legislation or organisational policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, person-centred wellness programs for residents.
• Facilitate group and one-on-one wellness activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents through meaningful engagement.
• Support residents’ independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the Wellness Lead, care teams, families and volunteers.
• Assist with wellbeing assessments, documentation and reporting changes.
• Support volunteers to contribute confidently to resident activities.
• Prepare and maintain safe, welcoming activity spaces and equipment.
• Follow organisational policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
