Job summary

BlueCare in Mackay is seeking a dedicated Wellness Partner to lead engaging, person-centred wellness programs that support residents’ physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing. You will work closely with residents, families and the care team to create meaningful participation, independence and connection.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Experience facilitating group and individual activities in aged care, community or disability settings.
• Understanding of person-centred practice, dementia care and cultural safety.
• Ability to adapt activities to support a range of physical and cognitive abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of infection control, manual handling and aged care quality standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or organisational policies.

Your part in our BlueCare team We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about helping older people stay active, connected and engaged. Through meaningful activities and genuine relationships, you'll support residents' wellbeing and quality of life every day.

About the role
