Job summary

Bupa Maroubra care home is seeking a Wellbeing Carer who passionately enriches residents' lives through engaging activities, companionship, and supportive daily living assistance.

You'll collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, assist with meals, maintain safety and hygiene, and help residents connect with the community both in-house and on outings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
• First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one)
• Australian driver’s licence preferable

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging activities for residents across the care home and outings.
• Foster belonging through social connections and group activities.
• Assist with daily living such as mealtimes and outings; provide emotional support.
• Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet needs.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities and document progress.
• Maintain infection control and a tidy environment.
• Lend a hand with plating and serving meals while monitoring resident preferences.

• Team player:You'll collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and elevate any concerns.
• Hygiene hero:Keeping things clean and safe is essential. You'll follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy environment.
• Catering crewmate: You'll lend a hand with plating and serving meals, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.
