Job summary

Scalabrini Communities in Allambie Heights is seeking a compassionate Wellbeing Assistant (Bus Driver) on a casual basis to transport residents safely and comfortably to outings and activities.

You will be part of a caring wellbeing team, planning routes, recording trips, and supporting residents’ social connection through community experiences. A current NSW MR licence and safe driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• Current NSW driver licence Class MR or higher, with a safe driving record.
• Experience driving a 22-seat bus or larger is preferred.
• Ability to plan and record bus routes for outings and activities.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety at work.
• Italian or other languages are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and comfortable transport for residents to outings and events.
• Assist wellbeing team with activities when not driving the bus.

We are looking for a caring, reliable and safety-focused Wellbeing Assistant (Bus Driver) to join our team on a casual basis at Allambie Heights.

In this role, you will help provide safe and comfortable transport for our residents while supporting their participation in outings, activities and community experiences.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a new team member to help support our wellbeing program by providing a welcoming, comfortable and reliable bus transportation service to residents. You will be working with the team to contribute to the planning and coordination of varied recreational activities and outings that require bus transportation, supporting resident wellbeing through social and community connection.

You are caring, patient and enjoy making positive impacts to our residents everyday lives.

This role will predominately require you to perform as a bus driver and any remaining time while not driving the bus, you will participate in assisting the wellbeing team in various activities.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

The following criteria would certainly be looked upon favourably:

• A current NSW driver licence Class MR (Medium Rigid) or greater, and of course a safe driving record
• Previous experience driving a 22 seat bus or larger
• Ability to plan and record appropriate bus routes
• Great communication skills and a strong commitment to work, health and safety
• The ability to speak Italian or other languages would be great, but is not an expectation.
