Job summary

Burke Engineering & Fabrication Pty Ltd in NSW is looking to recruit experienced Welders / Metal Fabricators to join the Kelso team. You will read blueprints, weld with TIG and MIG, and fabricate metal parts.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to weld in all positions. Salary range is AU$75,000–AU$85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This is a permanent full-time position based in Kelso, NSW.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in welding/fabrication.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze blueprints and drawings.
• Use TIG and MIG welding processes.
• Examine welds for bead width, penetration and precision.
• Weld vertically, horizontally and overhead.
• Fabricate parts by cutting, shaping, and welding metal.
• Heat treat components as required.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and hand tools.
• Assemble parts by welding, bolting, or riveting.
• Finish products via cleaning, polishing, filing, or coatings.

Job Description

Burke Engineering & Fabrication Pty Ltd are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Welders / Metal Fabricators to join their team in KELSO NSW. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Being able to read and analyze blueprints and drawings
• Have the ability and experience to use a TIG and MIG welder
• Examining welds for the width of bead, penetration and precision
• Have the ability to weld vertically, horizontally and overhead
• Be able to weld various metals using various techniques
• Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
• Heat treat metal parts and components
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment
• Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting
• Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acid solutions, or by applying protective or decorative coatings.

Skills & Abilities

• Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of three years’ experience in this role or similar

Salary range is $75,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience Full-time Position available.
