Water Corporation in Merredin, WA, seeks a Welder Observer/Trades Assistant to support fabrication, welding and maintenance across the region.
You will travel, stay away from home overnight, assist tradespeople, and help ensure safety and compliance on site and in workshops.
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a WA MR class licence and high-risk licences is preferred.

Based in Merredin you will be reporting to the Team Leader - Workshops.
You will undertake a variety of duties in a workshop environment and in the field across the district.
You’re the type of person who is comfortable working in a flexible but supportive workplace. You are flexible in your work environment and are as comfortable working on site as you are in a workshop assisting in fabrication, welding and performing scheduled maintenance on Corporation assets.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with effective communication skills.
The role involves regular manual handling tasks, and appropriate support or adjustments will be provided to ensure a safe and inclusive working environment for all candidates.
Your willingness to travel and undertake overnight stays and work away from home and work base will ensure your success in this role.
Ability to work in a team environment.
