HenCo Group is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for our Chandler workshop to build, repair and maintain our fleet of trailers. You will perform quality welds, service and wire trailers, apply decals and document service records, working independently to support fleet expansion.

The role requires hands-on workmanship, strong problem-solving, and the ability to read CAD drawings while following safety guidelines. Join us for a practical role in a lively, safety-focused workshop.

Competenze

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• Experience with trailers, caravans, automotive or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of trailer wiring, wheel bearings and mechanical/hydraulic braking systems is highly regarded.

Mansioni

• Carry out quality welding and fabrication work on our trailer fleet.
• Oxy cutting, use of guillotine and folder, servicing and wiring trailers.
• Maintain service records, apply decals and detail fleet vehicles.
• Replace bearings, brakes, lights and other minor repairs as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised workshop and follow WHS guidelines.

About the role

We build, repair and maintain our entire fleet of trailers and we are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for our workshop in Chandler. This position will be responsible for carrying out quality work on our fleet of trailers while assisting with the expansion and improvement of our fleet. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and hard working. Core duties and required skills will include, although are not limited to:

• Oxy Cutting


• Use of Guillotine & Folder


• Servicing & wiring trailers, applying decals, maintaining service records and detailing fleet vehicles


• Minor vehicle and trailer repairs as required – replacing bearings, brakes, lights, etc


• Maintain a clean and organised work environment


• Follow Work Health & Safety guidelines at all times


• Ability to read and interpret CAD Drawings


• General workshop duties as required

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing the job properly and can work independently.

Ideally you'll have:

• Strong mechanical aptitude


• Experience working with trailers, caravans, automotive or heavy equipment


• Knowledge of trailer wiring, wheel bearings, mechanical and hydraulic braking systems (highly regarded)


• Ability to work independently and manage your daily tasks


• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
