Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking a Casual Weighbridge Operator to support daily operations at our Sydney transfer stations. You will help coordinate waste movement, assist customers and ensure accurate data entry across multiple sites in Auburn, Erskine Park, Ryde, Artarmon, Belrose and Rockdale.

You will work across AM and PM shifts, join a friendly, supportive team and receive on-the-job training. Previous weighbridge experience is welcome but training will be provided to get you up to

Qualifications

• Must be available to work across all six transfer stations.
• Own reliable transport.
• Available to work both AM and PM shifts.
• Excellent communication and a confident phone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with customers and coordinating the movement of waste on and off site.
• Answering incoming calls and assisting with customer enquiries.
• Monitoring vehicle movements and directing traffic when needed.
• Accurately entering data into our waste tracking systems.
• Processing EFT transactions and assisting with general administrative duties.
• Supporting the team to ensure smooth day-to-day site operations.

The Opportunity

As a Casual Weighbridge Operator at Cleanaway, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of our transfer stations while providing excellent customer service.

This is a floating position, where you will be required to work across our Auburn, Erskine Park, Ryde, Artarmon, Belrose and Rockdale transfer stations based on operational requirements.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Liaising with customers and coordinating the movement of waste on and off site.
• Answering incoming calls and assisting with customer enquiries.
• Monitoring vehicle movements and directing traffic when needed.
• Accurately entering data into our waste tracking systems.
• Processing EFT transactions and assisting with general administrative duties.

About You

• Must be available to work across all six transfer stations – essential.
• Own reliable transport – essential.
• Must be available to work both AM and PM shifts.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident phone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and good computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Previous weighbridge experience is highly regarded but not essential, as training will be provided.
• A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
