Job summary

ResourceCo is seeking a customer-focused Weighbridge Operator to join our team at the Mooloolah site. You will interact with drivers and customers daily, providing great service both face-to-face and over the phone, with a casual 6-hour shift, 5 days a week.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will manage weighbridge duties, maintain accurate ticketing and documentation, and support EPA requirements while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous weighbridge operation experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Cash handling and balancing experience.
• Knowledge of the Waste industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct ticketing, charging and destination of waste.
• Inspect loads for non-conforming products.
• Understand and comply with EPA license requirements at the site.
• EPA waste tracking documentation.
• Sign in and induct visitors and contractors.
• Identify incoming waste streams and produce weigh tickets.
• Handle cash, process EFTPOS transactions and track documents.
• Perform other duties as required by the Team Leader/Supervisor or Senior Management.

Job description

We have an exciting new position available for a passionate and customer focused Weighbridge Operator to join our ResourceCo team at our site in Mooloolah QLD.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will provide customer service in ResourceCo’s weighbridge operation, giving you daily interaction with our drivers and customers both face to face and over the phone.

This position iscasual 6hrs per day 5 days a week not during wet weather 9.30am - 3.30pm.

Your excellent and positive customer service skills both face to face and over the phone, together with strong communication and organisational skills will see you succeed in this role.
Additionally, your ability to learn quickly, especially around all different waste materials along with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively will add further to your success.

You will have key responsibility in:

• Ensuring correct ticketing, charging and destination of waste received at the depot, as well as the dispatching and ticketing of outbound materials
• Inspecting loads to check for any non-conforming products
• Understanding and abiding by the requirements of EPA License relevant to the site
• EPA waste tracking documentation
• Ensuring visitors and contractors are signed in and inducted
• Identifying incoming waste streams and subsequent production of weigh tickets
• Effective cash handling, EFTPOS transactions & document tracking
• Any other duties as required from time to time by the Customer Service Team Leader/Supervisor, and or Senior Management team

About you:

• Previous experience in a weighbridge operation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Demonstrated cash handling and cash balancing experience
• A sound Knowledge of the Waste industry (preferred)
