Job summary

Sims Limited in Milperra, NSW, is seeking a Weighbridge Operations Coordinator to oversee weighbridge transactions, documentation, and stock administration. You will support the Yard Manager and drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement on site.

You will coordinate transport, manage records, and ensure compliance with export and regulatory standards while delivering excellent service to drivers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in weighbridge operations, logistics coordination, transport administration, or a similar operational environment.
• Strong administration and data-entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with financial processes including cash handling, reconciliations, and account administration.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily weighbridge operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Provide a high level of customer service to suppliers, transport providers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage incoming and outgoing material documentation and system records.
• Process vendor payments, account reconciliations, and financial administration activities.
• Coordinate transport and logistics activities for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, Chain of Responsibility requirements, and site procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
• Assist with inventory control, stock processing, and end-of-month stocktakes.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and support implementation of best practices.
• Support training, development, and ongoing operational excellence across the site.
• Administer non-ferrous export operations, ensuring accurate records and compliance with export requirements.
