Sims Limited in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Weighbridge Operations Coordinator to manage weighbridge transactions, documentation, and reporting. You’ll support the Yard Manager, drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across the site, and assist with non-ferrous export compliance and stock control.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong administration, and customer service while coordinating transport and logistics for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in weighbridge operations, logistics coordination, transport administration, or a similar operational environment.
• Strong administration and data-entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with financial processes including cash handling, reconciliations, and account administration.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily weighbridge operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Provide a high level of customer service to suppliers, transport providers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage incoming and outgoing material documentation and system records.
• Process vendor payments, account reconciliations, and financial administration activities.
• Coordinate transport and logistics activities for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, Chain of Responsibility requirements, and site procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
• Assist with inventory control, stock processing, and end-of-month stocktakes.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and support implementation of best practices.
• Support training, development, and ongoing operational excellence across the site.
• Administer non-ferrous export operations, ensuring accurate records and compliance with export requirements.
