Job summary

HammondCare Waratah is seeking a Part Time Weekend Kitchen Stores Person to maintain stock and support our kitchen team. You will receive deliveries, organise storage, monitor stock levels, and keep the storeroom clean and compliant with food safety standards.

The role requires weekend availability (Sat-Sun) and a hands-on approach to manual handling, with teamwork and strong communication to ensure residents receive timely supplies.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen/hospitality/aged care/stores (desirable).
• Understanding of food safety and safe handling practices.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays 07:30am–14:00pm.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks, including receiving and storing deliveries.
• Monitor stock levels and rotate stock.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused attitude.
• Maintain a clean, safe storeroom environment.

HammondCare Waratah is currently looking for a Part Time Weekend Kitchen Stores Person to join our Team.

HammondCare has a unique model of care which places the resident's needs as our number one priority. As a Kitchen Stores Person, you will support our model of care by ensuring food stock, consumables, and kitchen supplies are received, stored, rotated, and distributed efficiently to support the delivery of high-quality meals to our residents.

Working closely with the Kitchen and Hospitality teams, you will play an important role in maintaining food safety standards, stock levels, and an organised stores environment.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience working within a kitchen, hospitality, aged care, or stores environment (desirable).
• Have an understanding of food safety and safe food handling practices.
• Be able to work Saturday & Sunday 07:30am - 14:00pm both days
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Be physically capable of performing manual handling tasks, including receiving and storing deliveries.
• Have the ability to monitor stock levels and rotate stock appropriately.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Display excellent communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised storeroom environment.
