Job summary

Verandah Precinct's Social Dining in Sydney's CBD is seeking a talented Chef to join the kitchen for a Monday–Friday lunch service. This rare weekday schedule means weekends are yours to enjoy.

You will work with seasonal menus, house-made pastas, premium cuts and seafood, delivering high-volume, high-quality lunch service to our CBD guests under the guidance of experienced kitchen leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar CBD restaurant or high-volume kitchen.
• Solid knife skills and grounding in modern Australian or European cooking.
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude under pressure.
• Commitment to food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Current food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid right to work in Australia.
• Monday to Friday, lunch trade only; weekends off.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and executing seasonal menu items to a high standard during lunch service.
• Working with premium produce, including house-made pastas, quality cuts and seafood.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen presentation standards.
• Supporting stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
• Collaborating with the broader kitchen and floor team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Bringing ideas and energy to seasonal menu development.
