Job summary

Waterworld Aquatic Centre in Tea Tree Gully invites applicants for lifeguard roles for the upcoming pool season. You will supervise three pools and water slides, ensure visitor safety, and provide excellent customer service to all guests.

The position requires candidates aged 16+, able to obtain necessary lifeguard qualifications, and willing to work weekends to support aquatic programs and events in the community.

Qualifications

• Lifeguards must hold or be willing to obtain the listed certificates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool and surrounding areas to ensure patron safety.
• Educate the public on water safety policies.
• Maintain a safe environment for all aquatic patrons.
• Respond promptly to emergencies as they arise.
• Report significant incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify and report risks within the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and aquatic areas.
• Availability on weekends is essential.

Based in the City of Tea Tree Gully, Waterworld Aquatic Centre stands as a premier outdoor destination. We offer three heated pools-a 50m lap pool, a 20m Learner pool, and a Toddler pool-alongside expansive grassy areas, thrilling water slides, and captivating splash park attractions.

The role Randstad is currently seeking entry-level and experienced lifeguards for the upcoming pool season from October 2026 - April 2027 at Waterworld. With three pools and three waterslides, Waterworld welcomes patrons of all ages and abilities through a range of aquatic programs, events and activities.

As a Lifeguard, you'll help create a safe, enjoyable environment for visitors while delivering excellent customer service and promoting water safety. As a Lifeguard, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You'll help ensure visitor safety, promote positive aquatic experiences, and make a meaningful contribution to the community. This opportunity is open to individuals aged 16 years and above who can obtain their pool lifeguard qualifications.
