Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards for Tomaree Aquatic Centre, Salamander Bay. You will oversee daily pool operations, ensure safety, and provide excellent customer service to patrons of all ages.

Weekend and holiday availability is essential to join our team. Ideal candidates hold Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, First Aid/CPR, and a National Police Check; additional Pool Operations Certificate is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid (Level 2) & CPR required.
• National Police Check required.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate preferred.
• Current Pool Operations Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations and safety at the Tomaree Aquatic Centre.
• Maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for all patrons.
• Communicate effectively with diverse patrons and staff.

The Site

Tomaree Aquatic Centre, located in Salamander bay of the hunter region of New South Wales. The centre features a 50m outdoor heated pool with up to 8 swimming lanes, shaded heated program/kids pool, shaded wading pool, spiral waterslide, large open lawned areas, free BBQ's and volleyball greens.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

You must have Weekend & Holiday availability

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded
