Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, is seeking a Field Engineering Intern – Waterworks to support project teams on water and wastewater sites. You will learn day-to-day field operations under senior engineers, gaining practical experience in construction management and field engineering.

The internship offers exposure to treatment plants, pump stations, and utility infrastructure, with training in surveying, documentation, and using common office tools to support field activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a civil engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, construction science, or related bachelor’s degree program.
• Interest in water and wastewater construction and field-based project work.
• Ability to communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic understanding of construction math concepts.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Engineers and project personnel with daily field operations and planning.
• Assist with quantity tracking and verification of installed work on water/wastewater systems.
• Help interpret construction plans, specifications, and layouts.
• Participate in basic surveying activities and learn layout, elevations, and measurement techniques.
• Observe and support jobsite safety practices and compliance activities.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to support field engineering tasks.
