Job summary

Danacom Communication Pty Ltd – Rhodes NSW is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join our waterproofing consultancy team. You will deliver high-quality design documentation, ensure compliance with AS standards, and coordinate across architects, builders, and consultants.

The role emphasizes detail, project leadership, and mentoring junior staff, with a focus on compliant, construction-ready drawings, performance briefs, and client-focused service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Ongoing professional development relevant to waterproofing, design, or building compliance.
• Strong knowledge of AS4654.1, AS4858 and the NCC Vol 1 & 2.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review waterproofing design reports and material selection assessments.
• Mark up design documentation and develop detailed technical drawings and construction details.
• Prepare compliance reports and performance‑based design briefs.
• Attend project meetings and technical workshops with clients and stakeholders.
• Review project documentation to ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes.
• Oversee team workflow and project coordination activities.
• Maintain accurate document control and filing systems.

Education

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related discipline

Ongoing professional development

AS4654.1, AS4858, NCC knowledge

Strong written and verbal communication
