Job summary

Endurance Mining's Abra Mine site is seeking an MC Watercart Operator to join our NPI & Projects team on a FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO ex Meekatharra. You will operate multi-combination watercart vehicles to control dust, maintain road surfaces and support road maintenance across gazetted roads and mine access routes.

We value safety, autonomy and teamwork, with 3+ years MC watercart experience in mining or civil settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating MC watercart vehicles in mining, civil construction or road maintenance environments.
• Experience with dust suppression and road watering operations.
• Knowledge of road transport legislation and heavy vehicle operations.
• Ability to assess road conditions and adjust watering practices accordingly.
• Strong situational awareness and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate MC licensed watercart combinations in line with site procedures and road maintenance schedules.
• Apply water to gazetted gravel roads, access roads, intersections and work areas to control dust and maintain safe driving conditions.
• Regulate water application rates to prevent surface damage, overwatering and erosion.
• Support gazetted road maintenance by assisting grader operators with moisture conditioning, formation repairs and compaction activities.
• Identify and report road defects such as corrugations, potholes, rutting and erosion.
• Maintain awareness of public road users, traffic management plans and road safety requirements.
• Conduct pre-start and shutdown inspections, and maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Complete daily work reports, pre-start documentation and accurate water usage and maintenance records.
• Comply with all safety and environmental standards, minimising water wastage and reporting hazards immediately.

Endurance's Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead-silver projects.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an MC Watercart Operator to join our NPI & Projects team at Abra Mine Site on a FIFO roster. Reporting to the Working Supervisor/Grader Operator, you will operate multi-combination watercart vehicles to control dust, maintain road surface integrity and support road maintenance activities across our gazetted gravel roads, mine access roads and associated infrastructure — helping keep conditions safe for mine personnel, contractors, emergency services and the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate MC licensed watercart combinations in line with site procedures and road maintenance schedules

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating MC watercart vehicles in mining, civil construction or road maintenance environments
• Demonstrated experience in dust suppression and road watering operations
• Knowledge of road transport legislation and heavy vehicle operations
• Ability to assess road conditions and adjust watering practices accordingly
• Strong situational awareness and risk management skills
• Effective communication and teamwork capability
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Basic computer literacy for inspections, reporting and work orders

Essential Requirements

• Current unrestricted MC (Multi Combination) Driver Licence
• Construction Induction White Card desirable
• Ability to obtain and maintain site medical clearance
• National Police Clearance (where required)
• Fatigue Management accreditation desirable
• Ability to work outdoors in remote environments and adverse weather conditions
