Job summary

Beca HunterH2O is seeking an Intermediate-level Structural Engineer to join our Newcastle water team. You will contribute to the structural design of water and wastewater facilities, including reservoirs and conveyance pipelines, while engaging with clients and multidisciplinary peers to deliver robust solutions.

You’ll collaborate across offices, manage design packages, and develop professional expertise through mentorship and development programs offered within the Beca network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil (structural) engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipeline) structural design (desirable).
• Experience in managing packages on small to medium engineering design projects.
• Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to structural design for water and wastewater projects.
• Review design requirements, site investigations and calculations.
• Provide reports, specifications and client-facing solutions.
