Job summary

Beca HunterH2O, the Australian water business of Beca, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle and/or Brisbane.

Ideally, you will have experience in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines, with previous tasks including the review of design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modelling, oversight of drafting and the preparation of reports and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance design.
• Experience managing packages on small to medium engineering design projects.
• Experience in a consulting environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of Australian standards and WSAA codes.
• Ability to travel on occasions.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and pipelines.
• Review design requirements, conduct site investigations and modelling.
• Provide reports and specifications with oversight of drafting.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver solutions on/off site.
