Job summary

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is looking for an Operator Network in Bombala, NSW to contribute to water and wastewater service delivery. The role involves installation, maintenance and monitoring of the network, data documentation and cross-team collaboration to support treatment plants.

You'll engage with stakeholders, manage on-call rosters, and help meet legislative requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar water and wastewater role.
• Ability to operate small plant and hand tools competently.
• Construction Induction White Card holder.
• Physically fit and able to undertake training including confined spaces.
• Current Class C drivers licence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of quality water and wastewater services.
• Undertake installation, maintenance and monitoring on the network.
• Document, monitor and review water data; report anomalies.
• Support cross-team collaboration and treatment plant operations.
• Maintain customer and stakeholder relationships through effective communication.
• Be available for weekend and on-call rosters and respond to emergencies.
• Monitor work progress and report to team leaders.
• Use resources efficiently to deliver services.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and accountability.
• Contribute to a safe workplace and comply with requirements.
