Job summary

Alder Group on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead detailed estimates for civil and water infrastructure projects across Queensland and Northern NSW. You will use first principles, derive rates, and work with internal teams to grow tender opportunities.

Join a growing Civil & Infrastructure division, collaborate with suppliers and the Business Development Team, and help shape competitive tenders from early scoping to final tender submissions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a similar role within civil infrastructure.
• Proficient with estimating using first principles.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed estimates using quotations and first principles.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Develop/streamline estimating systems and rate libraries.
• Collaborate with Business Development and suppliers to grow opportunities.
• Liaise with clients and client representatives in target markets.
• Prepare tender estimates and conduct early tender meetings.
• Assist project team with post-tender discussions and cost verification.
