Job summary

Unitywater is seeking a Construction Inspector to act as the eyes and ears on-site for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions. You will oversee multiple active sites, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to approved standards while working with subcontractors and stakeholders.

The role focuses on monitoring live networks, interpreting drawings and specs, and proactively managing risks to protect critical community infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure construction, including live networks.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and inspection/test plans.
• Solid understanding of industry codes, standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities across live water and wastewater networks.
• Monitor works to ensure compliance with standards, specs and safety requirements.
• Identify and manage risks and assist in resolving construction defects.
• Provide insights on contractor performance, progress and quality to drive project outcomes.
