Cairns Regional Council seeks a Team Leader Water Treatment to oversee the region's water treatment plants, intakes, dam, and bulk water reservoirs at Draper Road (Gordonvale) and Tunnel Hill (Brinsmead). This full-time role will lead a team of operators, ensure continuous, safe drinking water, and drive safety and asset reliability in a compliant water supply system.

You will manage operations, reporting, and data recording while aligning with NHMRC guidelines and the Council's quality

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Water Industry Operations with 12 months experience or 4+ years in treatment plants.
• Certificate IV in Water Operations or ability to obtain within 24 months.
• C Class Driver's Licence.
• WH&S competency card before start.
• Proven leadership and collaboration in close-knit teams.
• Pumps and chlorination systems operation/maintenance skills.
• Experience with medium to large water treatment plants and related infrastructure.
• Computer-literate with report writing and data recording abilities.
