Job summary

North East Water is seeking a proactive Manager Water Treatment and Quality to lead our water treatment and quality teams across the region. You will drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee water resources planning in a dynamic, safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant science discipline and several years’ senior leadership experience.
• Extensive leadership experience in water or utilities sectors.
• Substantial experience in water and/or wastewater treatment and asset operations.
• Sound knowledge of Victorian water industry regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to the water treatment, water systems and treatment technician teams.
• Drive excellence in the operational delivery of drinking water quality management.
• Ensure compliance across 21 water treatment plants with Safe Drinking Water regulations.
• Oversee strategic and operational management of water resources, licences and drought plans.
• Manage budgets and resources to optimise expenditure while maintaining service quality.
