Job summary

GWMWater in Victoria seeks a Water Treatment Plant Operator to ensure safe drinking water production across regional plants. The role focuses on operating and maintaining treatment facilities to meet regulatory standards.

You will work with internal staff and contractors, identify efficiency improvements, and contribute to reliable plant performance within the Regional Operations area. On-site work with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment operations preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains drinking water treatment plants to meet Safe Drinking Water Act requirements.
• Identifies improvement opportunities and ensures plants run efficiently and reliably.
• Collaborates with internal staff, contractors and stakeholders to manage activities across facilities.
• May operate across multiple Water Treatment Plants within the Regional Operations area.

Currently applications are being sought for:

The Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the production of drinking water, meeting the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act. Through the operations and maintenance of the plants under their control and the identification of improvement opportunities, the role is responsible for ensuring that the plants run effectively and efficiently. Working with internal staff and stakeholders and contractors alike to manage all activities in their allocated facilities.

The position may be required to operate in a number of Water Treatment Plants and associated assets throughout the Regional Operations area.
