Job summary

GWMWater is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to ensure the production of drinking water across assigned facilities. The role requires operating and maintaining treatment plants and coordinating with staff, stakeholders and contractors to keep operations efficient and compliant with the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Two positions are available in the Mallee region. The successful candidate will work across multiple plants, with duties including identifying process improvements and contributing

Job description

The Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the production of drinking water, meeting the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act. Through the operations and maintenance of the plants under their control and the identification of improvement opportunities, the role is responsible for ensuring that the plants run effectively and efficiently. Working with internal staff and stakeholders and contractors alike to manage all activities in their allocated facilities.
