K.Wright Practice is seeking a dedicated operator to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a remote leachate and industrial wastewater facility in Queensland. You will oversee RO/UF/DAF systems, manage plant reliability, perform sampling, and provide operational reporting.

Ideal candidates will work independently, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold strict safety standards while coordinating with the broader team to ensure safe, compliant plant performance.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on water or wastewater treatment experience, ideally RO/UF/DAF systems.
• Experience with leachate or industrial wastewater operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently at a remote site and communicate with the team.
• Solid safety awareness and basic computer/reporting skills.
• Current C-class driver's licence and White Card.
• Certificate III in Water/Wastewater Ops preferred.
• Remote site experience and First Aid/CPR certification are advantageous.

The plant uses technologies including reverse osmosis (RO), ultrafiltration (UF), dissolved air flotation (DAF) and a screw press. This role suits an operator who is comfortable working independently, solving equipment issues and helping maintain safe, reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain the treatment plant, pump stations and associated equipment
• Carry out water sampling, testing and operational reporting
• Complete inspections and preventive maintenance, and respond to equipment faults
• Troubleshoot treatment processes and work with process engineers to improve performance

About you

• Hands-on water or wastewater treatment experience, ideally involving RO or other membrane systems
• Experience with UF, DAF, screw presses, leachate or industrial wastewater
• Sound mechanical or electrical aptitude and a practical approach to troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently at a remote site and communicate clearly with the wider team
• Strong safety awareness and confidence using basic computer and reporting systems
• Current C-class driver's licence and White Card
• Certificate III in Water or Wastewater Treatment Operations preferred
• Remote site experience, manual licence, and First Aid and CPR certification advantageous
