Job summary
Hatch seeks a Water Resources Engineer to join the Sydney civil/hydrotechnical team. You’ll apply hydrology and hydraulics to diverse mining, energy and infrastructure projects, delivering practical water resources solutions while advancing your career in a collaborative environment.
You will undertake hydro and flood modelling, prepare technical reports, and contribute to project planning, cost estimates, and multidisciplinary design efforts, mentoring junior engineers along the way.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a strong hydrology/ hydraulics foundation.
- Experience delivering water resources projects across mining, energy, or infrastructure.
- Proven ability to write clear technical reports and communicate with clients.
- Experience with hydrological, hydraulic, and flood modelling studies.
Responsibilities
- Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling and assessments.
- Deliver flood modelling and flood impact assessments.
- Prepare and review technical reports and engineering documentation.
- Develop and review project proposals and study deliverables.
- Provide input into engineering design, project planning and cost estimates.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates.
